Meet the Assistant
Originally from Springfield, Missouri, I have lived in Central Pennsylvania since 2005. After attending my first birth in 2007, I trained as a doula through DONA. Since then, I have been supporting women and their families as a doula, volunteer childbirth educator, placenta encapsulator, and midwife’s assistant. I am grateful to have assisted at over 100 births to date, most of them planned home births. Since 2018 I have been working with Lisa, maintaining current certification in neonatal resuscitation. I believe strongly in the Midwives Model of Care and a person’s right to informed choice. My life’s calling is to serve all people with compassion so that they can have healthy pregnancies, give birth where and with whom they feel most comfortable, and feel supported postpartum. I plan to attend midwifery school to become a Certified Professional Midwife.
